Kada and Ring Size Guide: How to Measure at Home

Kada and Ring Size Guide: How to Measure at Home

Quick answer: To find your kada size, measure the inner diameter of a bangle that fits you comfortably. To find your ring size, measure the inner diameter of a ring you already wear, or wrap a strip of paper around your finger and measure its length. Share the measurement in millimetres when you order from Shrim Studio.

A kada or ring only feels special when it fits well. You don’t need a jeweller’s tool — a ruler and a few minutes at home are enough.

How to measure your kada size

Method 1: Use a bangle you already own

  1. Pick a rigid bangle that slides over your hand comfortably.
  2. Place it on a ruler and measure straight across the inside, from inner edge to inner edge, at the widest point.
  3. Note the inner diameter in millimetres and share it with us.

Method 2: Measure your hand

  1. Bring your thumb and little finger together, as if putting on a bangle.
  2. Wrap a soft measuring tape or strip of paper around the widest part of your hand, over the knuckles.
  3. Measure the length and send it to us — we’ll help you choose the right fit.

How to measure your ring size

Method 1: Use a ring that fits

Place a ring that fits the intended finger on a ruler and measure the inner diameter in millimetres, edge to edge.

Method 2: The paper strip

  1. Cut a thin strip of paper and wrap it around the base of your finger.
  2. Mark where the paper overlaps, making sure it can still slide over your knuckle.
  3. Lay it flat and measure the length to the mark in millimetres. That is your finger’s circumference.

Tips for the right fit

  • Measure at the end of the day, when fingers and hands are slightly larger.
  • Avoid measuring when your hands are cold, as fingers shrink.
  • Wide rings and kadas feel tighter than slim ones, so allow a little extra room.
  • If you’re between sizes, tell us both measurements and we’ll advise.
